We are excited to introduce Syroco, a company supporting the energy transformation of maritime transportation, founded by Alex Caizergues - CEO, Florent Boutellier - Finance & Operations, Olivier Taillar - CTO, and Yves de Montcheuil - CMO.

Syroco Live is a cloud-based software platform that optimizes ship energy efficiency, fuel consumption, and carbon emissions through multi-objective weather routing and real-time voyage optimization. Using a digital twin that runs alongside the actual vessel, it computes the best routes, provides real-time insights to the crew, and tracks fuel savings.

Syroco is one of the 50 selected companies in Cohort 1 and part of the Sustainable Freight Transportation group.

What’s the biggest industry problem that you’re tackling and how?

Ship owners, shipping companies, and freight forwarders are facing stringent demands to reduce their fuel consumption and carbon footprint. The easiest way to tackle this challenge is to optimise vessel operations to improve their energy efficiency, by leveraging optimised weather routing.

What keeps you awake at night about your startup?

Expectations from our customers are high. They expect concrete results and a fast return on investment, and we need to demonstrate fuel savings on every route!

In your wildest dreams, what would success look like for your company?

Several thousands of large merchant vessels (containerships, bulkers, tankers, ferries, and more) use Syroco to reduce their carbon footprint by 10% or more!

To support our growing network and its startups, we invite potential stakeholders (investors, lead customers, mentors, and supporting partners) to apply here.
