Elonroad and PowerUp Celebrate Wins at Tech Tour Energy & Decarbonisation 2024

We’re thrilled to share exciting news from the D2XCEL Network! Two of our portfolio companies, Elonroad and PowerUp Energy Technologies, were honored as award winners at the Tech Tour Energy & Decarbonisation 2024 event held on November 26–27 in Essen, Germany.

Pioneering Innovations in Clean Energy

PowerUp Energy Technologies is redefining clean energy with hydrogen fuel cell-powered generators. Their solutions provide zero-emission backup power, promoting a greener, more resilient energy future.

Elonroad offers groundbreaking charging solutions for electric vehicles, enabling both on-the-move and stationary charging. By significantly lowering CO2 emissions and reducing ownership costs, Elonroad is driving a sustainable transformation in transportation networks.

A Landmark Event for Energy Innovation

This two-day flagship event brought together more than 250 participants:

• 80+ promising growth companies,
• 140+ active investors, and
• Leaders from corporates, governments, and the startup ecosystem.

The event featured insightful keynote speeches, panel discussions, and 500+ one-on-one meetings, creating a dynamic platform for collaboration and innovation.

Highlights Included:

• Day 1: The BRYCK Energy Tech Demo Day saw 100+ investors debating energy transition challenges and enjoying elevator pitches from cutting-edge innovators in the BRYCK Energy Tech Booster program.
• Day 2: The Tech Tour Energy & Decarbonisation Day opened with remarks from key figures like Thomas Kufen (Mayor of Essen), William Stevens (Tech Tour), and David Stephenson (NRW Ministry). Discussions focused on tackling challenges in deep-tech sustainability and showcased the region's largest energy tech pitching session.

D2XCEL Cohort in the Spotlight

Startups from D2XCEL’s Large Scale Energy Storage Cohort took center stage, presenting transformative solutions to energy and decarbonization challenges. Featured companies included Fusebox , HalioGen Power , INITION , Electriq Global , Floating Power Plant , PowerUP Energy Technologies, Silbat Energy Storage Solutions, Elonroad, and  STOFF2.

D2XCEL is a 30-month pan-European proggramme, committed to selecting and supporting 100 deep tech and digital ventures. We offer FREE 360-degree mentoring, access to investors and potential customers, and exclusive networking events.

With our second open call ongoing until 16 December 2024, we invite ventures innovating in Supply Chain and Trade Finance, Sustainable Mobility, Renewable Energy, Circular Models, and Smart Cities to apply and avail of D2XCEL's premier scaling services.
