D2XCEL publishes impact insights from Cohort 2, showcasing the progress of ventures working across five strategic market opportunities: Supply Chain Management & Trade Finance, Sustainable Mobility, Renewable Energy Production, Circular Models for Cities & Regions, and AI-powered Utility Management for Sustainable & Smart Cities.
Supported by the European Innovation Council (EIC), D2XCEL is a pan-European scaling programme designed to help high-potential deep tech and digital ventures expand across borders. Since its launch in November 2023, the programme has built a strong ecosystem of over 250 investors, lead customers, and innovation organisations supporting venture growth.
So far, 102 ventures have joined the D2XCEL pipeline, each participating in a structured 6–8 month journey that combines multi-layered mentoring commencing individual, topic-specific, and ecosystem-level support, as well as targeted opportunities such as investor introductions, curated events, and international collaboration.

Cohort 2 ventures have already achieved €7M+ in funding, building on the momentum established by Cohort 1, which raised €52.2M. While funding levels vary between cohorts, the real impact lies in the structured support, expanded networks, and strategic connections that set these startups on a path to scale across Europe. Having access to multi-layered mentoring, ecosystem partnerships, and investment opportunities, these ventures are well-positioned to accelerate growth and transform their markets in the months ahead.
